Regulations for Arbiters

Appointment of Arbiter:

  1. For all Rating events the Chief Arbiter should be an IA or FA.
  1. Deputy Chief Arbiter should be IA, FA.
  1. However, for Deputy Chief Arbiter only IA’s or FA’s shall be appointed by Arbiter Commission. In case one of the appointed Chief or Dy. Chief for particular tournament is absent then if locally available SNA will act as Dy. Chief Arbiter. (Who is Licensed and done AICF Refresher course as well as paid AMCA and AICF Arbiter Registration fee applicable for that year).
  1. Team of Arbiters must contain all title Arbiters only.
  1. To promote state Arbiters, every rating tournament and state championship must have two Maharashtra Arbiters working as Assistant to Arbiter.
  1. For all the state Selection tournaments and the tournaments with a prize money of Rs. 5 Lacs or more, the Chief and Deputy ChiefArbiterswill be appointed by the Secretary of AMCA arbiters Commission in consultation with Chairman AMCA Arbiter’s Commission..
  1. Maharashtra Arbiters shall be appointed as Deputy Arbiter in local tournaments.
  1. In certain district where NO IA/FA/SNA are available MSA can work as a Chief Arbiter for local events.

Mandatory Duties and responsibilities embedded with Chief and Deputy Chief Arbiters:

  1. Number of Arbiters per tournament – For first 50 players two Arbiters, for additional every 50 players one Arbiter (for rating event other than Maharashtra Arbiter).To insure that sufficient no. of Arbiters are appointed to see that in case of any dispute immediate intervention of Arbiterwill resolve the dispute. Preferably Arbiter per 50 players should be appointed for each tournament. Chief Arbiter and Deputy Chief Arbiter are not allowed to take any deviation from this provision.
  1. Chief Arbiter has to send list of Ordinary and special entry players within 3 days after start of State Championship.
  2. Chief and Deputy Arbiters will be responsible for smooth conduct of the tournament according to FIDE, AICF, AMCA rules and regulations. (Publish AMCA Rules and Regulations on site)
  1. Arbiters will complete all the formalities regarding AICF, AMCA player registrations, rating results for AICF and FIDE, and will submit the report of the event with total number of players and final standings to AMCA as well as to arbitercommitteeamca@gmail.comwithin seven days after completion of the tournament.

 

Arbiter Team for any Tournament:

 

Arbiter in any tournament in Maharashtra or district shall beregistered with AMCA and shall possess a minimum of Maharashtra State Arbiters title so that no player or coach or parents or guardians shall be permitted to work as an arbiter.

For any district level or Local tournaments, the Arbiters shall be a minimum Maharashtra State Arbiters.

Honorarium of Arbiters

 

Chief Arbiter: State Selection  
All Classical State Championships Rs.2500/- per day  
All State Rapid Championships Rs.6000/- for event of 2 days  
State Blitz Championships

If Both State Rapid and Blitz championship together

Rs.3000/- for event for event of 1 day

Rs. 7000/ for both the events inclusive

 
All Open  FIDE Rating events Rs.3000/- per day  
 
Deputy Chief Arbiters  
 
All Classical State Championships Rs.2000/- per day  
All State Rapid Championships Rs.5000/- for event for event of 2 day  
State Blitz Championships

If Both State Rapid and Blitz championship together

Rs.2500/- for event for event of 1 day

Rs. 6000/- for both the events inclusive

 
All Open FIDE Rating events Rs.2500/- per day  
 
Deputy Arbiters  
All Classical State championships Rs.1800/- per day  
All State Rapid Championships Rs.4000/- for event  
State Blitz Championships

If Both State Rapid and Blitz championship together

Rs. 2000/- for event for event of 1 day

Rs. 5000/- for both the events inclusive

*** Apart from the above, all Arbiters shall be reimbursed to & fro 2nd AC train farefor Chief Arbiter and 3rd AC For Deputy Chief Arbiters and others with 2nd sleeper or normal bus, free boarding& lodging. If arbiter is local he will be eligible for free boarding only.
